NOTICE: This List is from the 1990's so most of these companies no longer exist, but I am keeping it alive to remember the good old days!

(This used to be called the Clone Provider list, but who calls them clones any more?) Here are some of the smaller system retailers originally listed in the old St. Louis Computer User and The Midwest Technology Journal (formerly St. Louis PC Journal), both now defunct. I am leaving out the "big box" retailers like Best Buy, OfficeMax and even the Wal-Mart's and Target's who now sell computer hardware dirt cheap and have driven many of these smaller shops out of business. Now all we have in St, Louis is the duopoly of Spectrum and AT&T. There are some smaller players available like Earthlink (uses AT&T hardware but bills customers directly with their own plans) or Verizon Home Internet. Most of these listed here must be out of business by now, but you never know...
